Sony Pictures wanted to place a tiny square ad in the top right to promote the release of Soul Surfer on Blu-Ray and DVD. They were willing to pay a whopping $40 per month. Every week I seem to get in a conversation about Twitter and how people just don't understand it. In-fact, most people I meet are down right intimidated by it, and that is probably why I love it. We keep out the riffraff by making it feel exclusive. It is the world's largest fraternity, and you don't even have to pay to get in. For some reason it makes you feel cool when you post something funny or profound to all 100 people that might happen to have read your tweet that day.
