1. People are funny.
I love twitter because people are funny. People like @notkennyrogers make me smile everyday. I also follow people who post funny things, not the laugh at what he said out-loud kind of funny, but the, did they really just say that funny. Ask people who their top 5 favorite people to follow are...here are mine. @notkennyrogers @capricecrane @brentone @badbanana 

2. It's what the cool kids are doing?
It is an indisputable fact that cool people twitter, no twitter in itself does not make them cool, it's just a reality of twitter's sociological makeup. You want to be cool don't you? I'd get in while the gettin's good. 

3. Unlike the Facebook you might actually be interested in what people say on Twitter.
I've said it before, but my favorite quote is, 'Twitter makes me like people I've never met and Facebook makes me hate people I know'  You don't have to follow everybody. Follow people that post often (not too often), post about things you like, and follow positive people... there are too many cranky pants out there, don't waste your time.

4. I know it stinks but we all need something to do while in the loo.
Twitter is only 140 characters, it's not like getting into a good blog, video, or game. It's easily scaled to the length of your stay. Just don't drop your phone.

5. Can make the least of us feel important no matter how false that reality is.
Face it, everyone has a desire deep down inside to be famous. You are now only 1 clever tweet away from Internet fame. The next retweet could change your life forever, or at least give you a good feeling before returning to reality.
