Well... Not much to say except that I am doing it. I had a friend challenge me last week to Juice with him, I immediately told him I am not into illegal drugs... Come to find out there is a new craze going on out there called Juicing. Just like everything else new, people spend lots of money, get crazy results, and want you to join in. I was immediately a skeptic, but I decided to watch the movie 'Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead' anyway. You can get it on NetFlix. As I ashamed as I am to admit the following statement, I was inspired. These people not only had crazy results, but they did it without doing something...

Last July I launched this blog with 2 goals in mind. Number one, be a source of entertainment for those of you who share my love for culture, creativity, technology, and the church. 4 very distinct areas that I believe intertwine and are the catalyst for the future ahead of us. My second goal was to provide consistent content. I never wanted a week to go by without at least positing 3 articles. Needless to say, I have been an abysmal failure, or the extenuating circumstances of my life have been so overwhelming, that I couldn't maintain good form. I'll let you be the judge of that little predicament.

That's right. Mr. Positive Pat himself said it, change sucks.
For those of you who know me, you are probably in shock that I would say such a thing. It is contrary to my nature, my actions, and everything I believe in. I typically sit on the edge of my seat waiting for the next big thing. I am a dreamer and have the tendency to live for what is next, rather than living in the moment. Even as a 10 year old I would rearrange my bedroom every 2 weeks to keep things interesting. I have sat in many boardrooms meeting with clients challenging them to mix things up and move forward. My belief was that no one wants to change, but without...
1. People are funny.I love twitter because people are funny. People like @notkennyrogers make me smile everyday. I also follow people who post funny things, not the laugh at what he said out-loud kind of funny, but the, did they really just say that funny. Ask people who their top 5 favorite people to follow are...here are mine. @notkennyrogers @capricecrane @brentone @badbanana
2. It's what the cool kids are doing? It is an indisputable fact that cool people twitter, no twitter in itself does not make them cool, it's just a reality of twitter's sociological makeup. You want to be cool don't you?...
There is a modern epidemic in the church. Not disease or pestilence, but an Identity crisis. We have become relaxed, afraid, and weak. Just like the current debate over the US economy, we can sit around and blame people, or we can grab our bootstraps and get to work. Darrin Patrick discusses this epidemic in the following promotional video for his book, Church Planter. Please watch, don't just enjoy – be the change.
I am a fan of coffee, not the plain black kind, but the sophisticated, you think your cool, kind of coffee. Amarillo may be a small town, but we have no shortage of coffee joints, in fact there are 17 different options within 5 minutes of my house. I spend my mornings at Starbucks, have meetings at Roasters (the local staple), and afternoons downtown at The Ground. Needless to say, I spend way too much time and money in coffee shops.
As a frequenter of these spots I am fascinated by their unique differences. Some are known for their consistent coffee, others their extra bold (some say burned) coffee, and even some as the worst coffee...
Friday is going to start being my favorite day of the week. It is officially guest post day. Today's guest post comes from Andy Roller of Expio Consulting. He is an author, speaker, consultant, and social media junkie. I have spent enough time around him to rip off most of his ideas, in-fact I have an upcoming post on How to Use Email that is solely based on one of his lectures. He is one sharp cookie. Enjoy.
For more information about Andy you can check out his site here, or follow him on twitter @andyroller

The first thing any good designer learns is to not get thier feelings hurt. The problem with this reality is the amount of passion we put into some of our projects. It's hard not to take it personal when a client wants the font bigger, or they don't understand the symbolic meaning of your creation. To top it all off I believe that God inspires all creativity, so when someone doesn't like your art, they are insulting God...right?
All that being said, we have decided rather than to harbor this tension deep inside the core of our being, we would start a gallery of 'Unapproved Art. ' The Left Overs, for lack of a better name.
We...
Last week my wife's blog adventuresofasupermom.com received its very first paid advertisement. Sony Pictures wanted to place a tiny square ad in the top right to promote the release of Soul Surfer on Blu-Ray and DVD. They were willing to pay a whopping $40 per month. Immediately, as any good creative would, I wondered where we would spend the money. I am always looking for ways to promote her blog, so I figured we would just use the money to buy spots on other blogs. Hey, if it works for Sony, why not us?
In all of my research I was blown away by the amount of money some blogs can make in advertising revenues. This really can be some...
